Kinesiotaping

What is kinesiotaping?

Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic taping method using an elastic adhesive bandage especially designed to improve the function of different tissues and physiological systems of the body. This technique helps in the rehabilitation of a region, while preserving its range of motion and providing stability and support to the muscles and articulations. This taping can be used to relieve pain or as a preventive measure.

How does kinesiotaping work?

Following the chiropractor’s evaluation, Kinesio® Tex Tape is applied specifically on the area to be treated. Kinesiotaping helps for the reeducation of the neuromuscular system, the diminution of pain and swelling, the improvement of muscular performance, the prevention of injuries as well as helping the injured area to achieve full recovery.

Why do we use kinesiotaping?

When judged necessary, this technique can be used in conjunction with a multitude of other soft tissue working techniques. It also allows to prolong the benefits of the manipulative therapy administered by the chiropractor in his treatment program. It is appropriate for both acute and chronic conditions.

  • Facilitates the body’s healing process
